Lost Pet Services
LocateMyPet.net offers a wide variety of lost pet services and options to help you locate your pet. We will make arrangements to meet at your home or at the location where your pet was last seen. When we meet, we will fill out a detailed Missing Animal Report including all critical information.
Every lost pet situation is different. The searches we have performed so far have ranged from ten minutes to fifteen days. A search dog is used when your pet has been missing for less than five days or when there has been a confirmed recent sighting. For animals missing longer, we employ specialized equipment and other strategies. Services include any combination of the following:
- Consulting on your unique situation by phone and/or in person
- Pet behavior and personality profiling to determine search area and likely direction of travel
- Employing a search dog to track scent or to complete an area search
- Employing a search dog to act as a "magnet" dog, to lure a scared/shy dog closer
- Using a Bionic Ear (amplified listening device) to listen for faint sounds.
- Using a "snappy snare" to catch a dog that is out of arm's reach
- Making and placing fluorescent LOST PET signs in key locations
- Setting baited humane cat traps and monitors
- Checking shelters and rescue organizations
- Distributing flyers throughout the area
As a professional Missing Animal Response Services (MARS) company we also employ the use of trained search dogs and high-tech lost pet equipment.
